Last week, we hosted our 169th Annual General Meeting, marking a year of significant achievements and setting the stage for the exciting celebrations of its 170th anniversary. The event brought together staff, Trustees, volunteers, and VIPs to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments and unveil plans for the future.
The AGM was not just a time to look back at the remarkable work achieved over the past year but also an opportunity to share the organisation’s vision for the future. This year holds particular significance for us, as an organisation, as YMCA Cheltenham prepares to celebrate 170 years of service to the community.
During the event, Joseph Main, CEO expressed his gratitude and pride in leading such a dedicated team. Stating, “It remains an honour and a privilege to serve as Chief Executive of YMCA Cheltenham, and never more so than at our AGM, when we reflect on the incredible work delivered by the organisation through the commitment, hard work, and unwavering dedication of our staff, volunteers, and apprentices.”
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we are inviting individuals to share their stories, experiences and memories of YMCA Cheltenham. The “170 Stories for 170 Years” initiative, is a chance to reflect and celebrate our 170 year history. To contribute your story, visit https://ymcacheltenham.com/170-stories-for-170-years/.
