We are looking to recruit Housing Support Workers (on 6-month fixed term contracts), with a sense of social purpose to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of adults and children throughout the County of Gloucestershire. Although these roles are being advertised initially, as 6-month fixed term contracts, there is the possibility that longer term, new opportunities may arise in the future.

There is currently, one fixed term contract role based at our site at Potter’s Place, Russell Street, Gloucester and two fixed term contract roles based at our site at Caridas House, Weston Road, Gloucester.
The role at Potter’s Place is 37.5 hours a week, working on a three-week rota basis, with one week in three working weekends. The roles at Caridas House are 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.
Salary is up to £26,775 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications.
ABOUT YOU
We are inviting applications for the fixed term (6 month) roles of Housing Support Worker, based at Potter’s Place, Russell Street, Gloucester and Caridas House, Weston Road, Gloucester.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be tactful and diplomatic, apply judgement and common sense and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.
