We are looking to recruit a Housing Support Worker, for a fixed term of 6 months,                                         based in Gloucester, with a sense of social purpose to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults throughout the County of Gloucestershire.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, working on a rota basis with weekend work.

Salary up to £25,500 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

ABOUT YOU

We are inviting applications for the role of Housing Support Worker (6 months fixed term contract), to be part of our Housing Team in Gloucester, based at Potter’s Place, Russell Street.  If you have recently, previously applied for this role, please do not reapply, as unfortunately, we will be unable to progress your application any further.

If you can work with tact and diplomacy, apply judgement and common sense, and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people, then this is the perfect role for you. 

Ideally, you will have had previous experience of paid or volunteer work in a similar role and have a Level 3 in a relevant qualification (or a desire to work with us to achieve this).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.
