Cherry Blossom Pre School Awarded Early Years Inclusion Champion Status After 12 Months of Dedicated Work

A huge congratulations to Millie and the team at Cherry Blossom Pre School on the completion of the Delivering Better Value Scheme. For the past 12 months Cherry Blossom Pre School has been enhancing inclusive practice for children, being assessed on a number of factors, including parent partnership, inclusivity, and support for children with SEND. As part of the scheme, the staff team have devoted a huge amount of time to attending training courses, furthering their knowledge on inclusive practice, and working hard to implement all the new skills and knowledge they have gained.

“We have worked closely with our inclusion advisor from GCC and monitored and reflected upon our practice to ensure we are delivering high quality early education that is fully inclusive. As a result, we have now successfully completed the scheme and received our Early Years Inclusion Champion award for the setting. It was a wonderful morning and a brilliant opportunity for us as a setting to reflect on all the hard work we have put in over the last 12 months and celebrate our setting.” – Millie Barnes, Cherry Blossom Pre School Manager

The award was presented by Phil Haslett (assistant director of Education for GCC), and we also heard from Sarah Hylton (Head of Early Years for GCC), and Catherine Mcleod (CEO for Dingleys Promise). All of whom recognised the commitment the scheme has required and the devotion to early years education.
