Chaplaincy at YMCA Cheltenham is built on partnership and presence. Our chaplains, together with local churches and volunteers, provide care and encouragement for residents, staff, and the wider community. You can be part of this work.
Pray
Stand with us in prayer for our residents, staff, and chaplaincy team. Many of those we serve are facing difficult journeys – your prayers make a real difference.
Partner
If you are part of a church, consider linking with YMCA Cheltenham through our chaplaincy. We welcome opportunities to:
Lead short services or seasonal events
Provide volunteers for befriending, mentoring, or activities
Support our staff with encouragement and prayer
Volunteer
Chaplaincy is about listening, presence, and kindness. You don’t need to be ordained – just willing to give your time and compassion. Opportunities include:
Visiting residents alongside our chaplaincy team
Helping with regular fellowship gatherings
Offering practical support (e.g. music, hospitality, transport)
Give
Your generosity enables chaplaincy to continue reaching those who need it most. Donations help us sustain pastoral care, organise events, and create welcoming spaces.
For many residents, chaplaincy is the first time they feel truly seen and heard. By getting involved, you help provide dignity, hope, and belonging – reminding people that they are not alone.
To explore how you or your church can get involved, please get in touch with our chaplaincy team
Together, we can share faith, friendship, and hope across Cheltenham and Gloucester.
