GET INVOLVED – VOLUNTEER FOR OUR CHAPLAINCY TEAM

Are you looking for a role where you can serve as a part of your Christian faith?

Would you like to volunteer for a local charity making a real difference?

Do you want to help improve the lives of others?

Then come and join our Volunteer Chaplaincy Team – it’s exciting, challenging and rewarding.

We are looking to recruit and train Volunteer Chaplains with a heart to serve Christ and help improve the lives of others across our various services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Volunteer Chaplains engage with Service Users, Residents and Staff, offering a listening ear, and building relationships and connections as an expression of Christian ministry in the YMCA Cheltenham community. Usually this will involve a minimum of 2 hours chaplaincy service each week.

Suitable applicants will demonstrate a Christ-like compassion for others and a servant attitude to supporting people wherever they may be.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of volunteer work in a similar role; though chaplaincy training will be given.
