The role is 37.5 hours a week, working on a rota basis with weekend work.
The salary is up to £25,094 per annum, depending on relevant skills, experience and qualifications.

We are inviting applications for the role of Housing Support Worker, to be part of our Housing Team in Gloucester.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be tactful and diplomatic, apply judgement and common sense and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people.

YMCA Cheltenham, founded in 1855, is a registered charity and has become a leading provider of supported housing in in the area, alongside other works including the provision of sports facilities, affordable housing and other charitable activities.
Since 2014 we have grown from having just one supported housing project of 50 beds to being able to offer hundreds of beds every night, including long-term affordable accommodation, low to high level supported accommodation, and emergency homeless provision in Cheltenham and Gloucester.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.
This role is based in Gloucester.
ABOUT WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a salary for this position of up to £25,094 per annum, depending on relevant skills, experience and qualifications, working 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern, which includes working evenings and weekends.
The organisation recognise that employees need down time, or time off, so time will be given off after working shifts to ensure that you can achieve a great work-life balance.
We provide a generous contributory pension, 28 days holiday inclusive of Public Holidays (increasing after 2 years with an additional extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of an additional 5 days), 2 additional wellbeing days a year, and up to 20 days sick pay per annum. The organisation also offers non-contractual benefits such as life assurance and free use of the organisation’s sports facilities. We provide a comprehensive training programme for all staff across the organisation and have a commitment to helping staff progress and develop.
