ABOUT THE ROLE
The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing-related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.
ABOUT YOU
We are inviting applications for Housing Support Workers to be part of our Housing Team in Cheltenham.
If you can work with tact and diplomacy, apply judgement and common sense, and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people, then this is the perfect role for you.
Ideally, you will have had previous experience of paid or volunteer work in a similar role and have a Level 3 in a relevant qualification (or a desire to work with us to achieve this).
ABOUT OUR OFFER
We offer a salary for this position up to £23,899 per annum depending on relevant skills, experience and qualifications, working 37.5 hours on a shift pattern which includes working days, evenings and weekends.
The organisation recognises that employees need down time, or time off, so time will be given off after working shifts to ensure that you can achieve a great work-life balance.
We provide a contributory pension, paid overtime, 28 days holiday inclusive of Public Holidays (increasing after 2 years with an additional extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of an additional 5 days), as well as 2 additional well-being days and up to 10 days sick pay per annum.
